As I watched, I flew on the tip of a Golden Ribbon-
Stages of my life gave way to forgotten visions.

With the end of the ribbon trailing far behind-
We flew over the passing of time.

The ribbon would take a turn, giving view-
To changes of direction, I already knew.

We’d fly up and down, over and across-
The many people, and places in my thoughts.

It was like riding on a magic carpet of liquid Light-
I felt loved, safe and secure, never uptight.

Then we entered a tunnel of Golden Light, to behold-
Dimly lit glimpses of my life to yet unfold.

I stepped back when we were through-
To see what was done, I hadn’t a clue.

But! There before me was the most beautiful present-
Adorned with a Golden Bow, it was magnificent.

I found understanding like a bird taking flight-
I am the Heavenly Gift that’s in my sight.

Throughout Life's Changes, I've been set free-
There's peace with my past, the Spirit lives in me.

The Golden Ribbon embraces my heart-
Now & Forever more, never to part.

Lord, if I live to be a hundred year, plus seven-
I'll give You thanks daily for this present from Heaven.

First Light

“First Light”

I stretch up to Heaven with both hands and open my arms wide;

To receive the Light of God and to be by His side.

I bathe myself in the warm of His glorious presence;

The Light penetrating my being is very pleasant.

The Light enters the top of my head and travels down through my feet;

I’m actually a little taller standing on Light is quite neat.

I reach up with one hand and accept God’s Love in my open palm;

And bring it back to my heart as a soothing, healing balm.

I now can look into my heart and pull out any darkness;

And pray all things be transformed into His likeness.

I lift the darkness up and offer it back to God;

I wander if angles would even dare to trod.

But, He takes my gift instantly and in a flash of Light;

The darkness is gone and everything is all right.

I give a prayer of Thanksgiving and I see a descending Dove;

Which places in my hand a ribbon made of pure Love.

We wrap the ribbon around me from my crown down to my toe;

I’m clothed in God’s protection and my whole body is aglow.

I cup my hands under my heart and allow God’s love to flow out;

My hands are filled to overflowing with Joy, Faith, there is no doubt.

I splash all that is around me with Peace walking in His way;

I splash twice more with Love and Compassion before I start my day.
